Angel Investors Durham Announces Key Leadership Appointments

Durham Region, Ontario – February 2025 – Angel Investors Durham is pleased to announce three key leadership appointments that will strengthen its mission to support and fund innovative startups in the region. The organization welcomes Angelo Del Duca as a Board Member, Elsie Faria as General Manager, and Robert Treumann as Dealflow Lead and Vice-Chair on the AID Board. Additionally, Board Member Sherry Colbourne will be stepping into the role of Acting Chair of Angel Investors Durham until the annual general meeting set for May 14, 2025. 

Angelo Del Duca brings extensive experience in early-stage investing and entrepreneurship. As one of three founders of Angel Investors Durham, he has played a pivotal role in building this group from the ground up and has been a huge part of the innovation and angel investment ecosystem in Ontario. We are extremely excited and honored to have him join the board. Angelo will continue mentoring start-ups and work alongside Robert Treumann on Dealflow. With a strong background in technology commercialization and venture development, he will provide strategic guidance to help Angel Investors Durham expand its impact and foster a thriving startup ecosystem.

Elsie Faria continues to bring immense value to Angel Investors Durham taking the role of General Manager, transitioning from a part-time to a full-time position, bringing a wealth of operational expertise and leadership. With a proven track record in member and founder relations and project management, she will oversee the organization’s operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in supporting startups and investors alike.

Robert Treumann steps into the role of Dealflow Lead, where he will be responsible for identifying and evaluating high-potential investment opportunities. His deep understanding of venture financing and startup growth strategies will enhance Angel Investors Durham’s ability to connect promising entrepreneurs with the right investors.
